After getting passing out from the Indian Military Academy , cadet is commissioned as an Officer of the rank Lieutenant in the Indian Army. The officer is given 21-22 days leave after this and candidates go for duty in their respective regiment allotted to them. The first posting depends upon the regiments selected and as per the need of the area.
