The syllabus of first year in engineering is generally what you have studied in class XI and XII with some additions to it. However, the subjects may vary from college to college. Therefore, whichever college you will get admission into will specify the subjects and may give you a choice for extra subjects.

In your first sem you will have combination of subjects from different streams:

1-chemistry

2-Electrical techanology(electrical department)

3-English/environmental science

4-Mathematics 1

5-chemistry lab

6-Electrical technology lab

In 1st year syllabus for all department is same. Subjects in the 1st year also depend on the college. Most subjects are common in every engineering college but some subject like English and environmental science are not taught in every Engineering college it depends on college which subjects they prefer.

First semestersyllabus for Civil engineering is almost common for all colleges and University.

List of subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, C++, Mechanics, BEE, Engineering drawing.
