For verification always original copy is taken along with the xerox copy at the of counselling or whenever they ask for it.They may keep the original copy sometimes ,it depends on the college policy rules like transfer certificates they take original and for other certifictates they take xerox but you may carry all original and its xerox .I hope it helped
