Hello aspirant, JEE exam is not compulsory  for B. Tech as there are many government and private colleges that take admission for B. tech courses based on the entrance exam they conduct. JEE mains is a must for admission in NITs, IITs, and many GFTIs. Several state engineering colleges have also started taking admission based on JEE mains rank as conducting entrance exams is difficult during ongoing pandemic condition. however their are other entrance exams like KIITEE exam for KIIT Bhubaneshwar, VITEEE exam , BITSAT exam, MHTCET exam, WBJEE exam.

Dear Aspirant,

JEE exam is not the only exam through which you get an admission in a BTECH college. There are other state exams which you can give to get admission for example COMEDK, BITSAT, SRMJEEE,  VITEEE, MHT CET. JEE exam is an exam which encompasses most of the BTECH colleges but not all. You can get admission into IIT's, NIT's and IIIT's through this exam. So, you must give JEE.
