It depends upon the degree as well-B.Sc. degree may require biology for sure to be eligible for a science degree in biotechnology.

A B.Tech degree on the other hand does not strictly require biology in MOST of the engineering colleges.

So, if you want a technical degree in biotechnology, there shouldn’t be any problem if you do not take up biology in class 11 and 12.

BUT Maths is required in either courses and cases.
