You will get colleges according to your marks scored in JEE mains.But for admission in NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs jee mains is not enough because for apart from jee mains score Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam or they must be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 examination. For SC/ ST, the eligibility is to obtain a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 or equivalent.

Hello student yes most of the engineering college take admission through jee main marks all nit iits and state level engineering college took admission through jee main.
All you need to score good marks in jee main as we all know that seats are very limited and admission is directly based on category rank.
