Hey Tanushree,

NILD CET exam has 25 questions from general knowledge and current affairs. The aim is to test the candidates general awareness about the world around.

There is no one source from which you can study GK simply because it’s a dynamic field, with new developments happening everyday.

But the kind of questions you can expect is usually based on developments in science and technology and politics.

you would be expected to know basic things like the year’s Nobel Laureates, the Mangalyaan mission as well as broad political awareness like who is the current Secretary General of the UN

You can use the following sources to stay informed

1. Newspapers like The Indian Express and The Hindu and online news houses like TheWire and Scroll.in

2. Scholastic or Manorama Year books of the recent years as they outline all the highlights in all the fields which happened in the given year.

Try to know the broad highlights of all the fields rather than the in-depth details of any one of them.

Distribute your GK prep into the following domains-

Politics

Science and Technology

Business and economics

Music, literature and entertainment

History and Geography with focus on India

Good luck for your exam!

And the cutoff is also different every year. But do not worry, I think with sincere preparation I am sure you will make it through. If I find a source regarding the same, I will surely get back to you.
