Hi Souren,

B.Tech. Biotechnology course is all about using concepts of Biology for tweaking and modifying biological systems, cell structures, biological processes etc.

Biotechnology is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for B.E./B.Tech. Biotechnology Graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities, but not in the scale in which private sector does. Average starting salary is generally between 2.4 to 5 Lakh Rupees per year.

Hope this helps

hello souren!

The scope for biotechnology is not much in India, to be honest. However, if you truely want to persue your career in biotechnology and you like the topic, then i would suggest you to go for it. The scope is quite good in research. Not much jobs are available but they are there.
