hi!

Most professionals in game development don’t work on their games. They make games for people who can afford to pay them a salary which depends on the demand for the particular person.

I would suggest you look through job adverts near you for games. Look at the technologies and skillsets that are sought after and turn them into a curriculum - plan to tick all the boxes or truly ace one or two high demand functions that are often sought for in job offers.

You can also contact studios near you and ask for what kinds of skills they will be hiring in roughly two+ years time.

If you want to make your own game, have a job and make sure you aren’t under any legal obligations that forbid you from working on your own game.

Don’t set up a company until such a time when you are ready to show the game to the world and can hope to gain money by it. Otherwise you can just list it somewhere such as Play Store so you can link it to your CV.
