If you are in this condition that you are getting seat in top NIT and in same situation you are getting seat INR in new IIT so I will advise you you that you should choose for top NIT instead of going for new IIT because there is a reason behind it which is is the new IIT are not totally settled as  the top NIT and at the time of placement you will find that it in top NIT good companies always come but it in New IIT only few of good companies come so for this purpose as well you should choose for top NIT instead of new IIT. All the top anit is considered is the top engineering institute in India but there are only few new IIT which are in top engineering institutes in the comparison of old IIT that's why I will advise you to go for top NIT instead of new IIT.

Even NITS rank in national rank is always in top 15-10 . Research facilities are better at top NITS. Students who do well in JEE but fail to get in into one of the older IIT would rather go to nit or top private colleges than a relatively new IIT.
