giving examples discuss the difference between homonyms, homophone,homographs and hyponyms

  1. Homophones- Words that sound the same. Example- doe and dough
  2. Homographs- Words that are written the same. Example- Tears (for salty water droplets and to tear something)
  3. Homonyms- These words that have the same name. They sound the same and are spelled same. Example- pen (the writing instrument and an enclosure for an animal)
  4. Hyponyms- a word of more specific meaning than a general or superordinate term applicable to it. Example- Spoon is an hyponym for cutlery.
