You have options to enter a Computer Science course if you achieved 40% in your HSC boards. Here are a few of the options:

1. Diploma in Computer Science- Many polytechnic colleges offer diplomas in Computer Science. Have open admission and practical exams- so high marks not necessary.
2. Private institutes- Some private colleges will have a BCA / similar programme with no admission criteria.  If you can find a BCA college with entrance-based admission, that is probably best.
3. NIELIT (DOEACC)- Government recognized computer courses such as CCC or O level are available to all citizens.
