see maximum government college has marks criteria of 50% marks in 10+2 for admission in btech, but there is some exception in colleges like jadavpur university needs 60% marks in pcm in aggregate (general category), 45% marks for reserve category. for admission in iits, nits you need to have 75% marks in exaggerate for general category, 65% for sc/st.
