Gulmarg is a town situated in Baramula district of Jammu & Kashmir.

It is a famous hill station mainly a skiing destination spot.The town has a topography of cup shaped valley and has altitude of 8694 ft.So due to its high elevation it has humid continntal climate and during winters its accompanied with heavy snowfall

Gulmarg is known as the "heartland of winter sports in India" .

The tourist spots are : The Maharani temple to Shiva and Parvati was built by a Hindu ruler Maharaja Hari Singh for his wife Maharani Mohini Bai Sisodia .

St. Mary's Church was built in 1902 by the Britishers and its contruction reminds us of the british style,its located in the valley of Sheperds.

Gulmarg Golonda This ropeway ferry system were built by the french company and is one of the highest in the world.The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour between Gulmarg and a shoulder of nearby Apharwat Peak (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apharwat_Peak) .

Golf course This golf course in gulmarg is the worlds highest green golf course having an altitude of 2650m.

You can visit this location mostly during  the start of winter season because the beauty of this town can be seen during snowfall
