The counselling for the JEE Mains examination for providing admission into various colleges offering JEE mains courses is done by the josaa counselling process which begins once after the results of both the JEE advanced, and all four sessions of JEE mains have been released by the national testing agency for all categories. The counselling process is held in 6 to 7 different rounds in which each round consists of options such as freeze,float, and slide where candidates are given a unique opportunity to lock or float their seats in these counselling processes based on their preference choices and rank which they have obtained.
