Hi

When two candidates have the same marks then tiebreaker criteria is used to provide them rank

NEET 2021  tiebreaker criteria is provided below

a) the one who obtains higher in Biology gets better/lower rank

b) if there is still tie then the one who has got more marks in chemistry gets better rank .

c) if there is still tie then student with less number of incorrect answers gets better rank.

Yes, there's been a small change, earlier i.e in neet 2020 , after the point (c), there was another point (d) which is provided below

d) if the tie still persists then  the one who is older in age gets better rank.

But in neet 2021 information brochure they have removed the point ( d) .

You can check the same on the page number 50 of Neet 2021 information brochure the link to download it is provided below

Neet information brochure 2021 :-https://ntaneet.nic.in/webinfo/File/GetFile?FileId=2&LangId=P

To help you further,

Here's a brief a neet 2021 exam pattern  as it has changed a little bit.

* Neet examination will be conducted for a total of 720 marks.

*Question will be from 4 subjects

  • physics,

  • chemistry,

  • zooloy

  • botany

*There will be 50 questions ( 35 + 15 ) in each subject . So, there will be a total of 200 questions ( 50 question x 4 = 200 questions).

  • Section A :-  it contains 35 mcqs

  • Section B :- it contains 15 mcqs out of which any 10 mcqs is to be attempted

So, in each subject you have to attempt only 45 questions.

*Total number of question to be attempted

= 45 mcqs per subject x 4 subject

= 180 questions can be attempted.

* Duration of examination is 3 hours.

Marking scheme:-

* 4 marks will be awarded to you for every correct answer

* there is negative marking of one mark for every wrong answer

*No mark is deducted for unanswered questions

NEET MBBS Authorities will decide it, it's not mentioned in the information brochure, so we cannot assume anything on our own.
