Jawaharlal institute of postgraduate medical education and research(JIPMER) has two campuses one main branch in Puducherry and the other one in Karaikal. Total no. Of seats are 200 out of which 150 seats are in Puducherry campus while 50 are there in Karaikal campus.

Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Educaton and Research,JIPMER is one of the best med school in the country. JIPMER admits 150 students to the MBBS course once every year through an all-India entrance examination. Some seat are reserved for Puducherry natives and Central Government nominations. 

From now JIPMER exam will be conducted for 200 MBBS seats.
