Hello,

Don't worry, here is what you can do :

  1. Name Accuracy Importance : The name on your FMGE application must match official documents, like your passport or ID. Discrepancies can lead to issues during verification.

  2. Common Mistakes : Omitting a surname is a common mistake but can potentially cause problems with eligibility or document checks.

  3. Non-Editable Fields : If your name field isn’t editable, you’ll likely need further assistance to correct it.

  4. Immediate Action :

    • Contact Support : Reach out to the FMGE exam helpdesk or NBE (National Board of Examinations) immediately via their official contact channels or email.
    • Documentation : Be prepared to provide identification that matches the correct name to support your case.
  5. Outcome : Without correction, your application might be at risk of being flagged during verification, potentially affecting your eligibility. Early intervention increases the chance of resolution.

Hello there,

I understand the concern, and I can assure you that mistakes like missing a surname in the FMGE application form are not uncommon. Here’s what you can do:

  1. Contact NBE (National Board of Examinations) : You should immediately reach out to NBE (the conducting body for FMGE) for clarification. They often have a correction window before the exam, or they might be able to guide you on how to rectify the mistake.

  2. Check for Application Correction Window : NBE generally provides a correction window after submitting the application. You can check if this feature is available for the FMGE January 2025 exam. This is where you can edit your name details if required.

  3. Acknowledge the Mistake in Your Documents : If the correction is not allowed, ensure that your other documents, such as your identity proof and academic records, have your full name as required. You may need to provide a justification or a correction letter during document verification.

To avoid future problems, it’s always a good idea to double-check details in your application and documents. While this mistake might not automatically make you ineligible, it's important to take action promptly by contacting NBE or checking the official guidelines.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
