Mock test is the Last step after you complete the preparation for Cat.
And If you have not started yet go for CAt 19.
For preparations join any good coaching classes like TIME or Career launcher.
Take up their specialised guidance according to your current profile and the amount of hours that you need to put in with the days you can work on.
If you are a student or working professional weekends will suit you.
Generally 8 hours a day suffices to get the best out of you for Cat as well as for Bschool preparations.

Solving papers very much essential for preparation of CAT examination. I suggest you join Test Series of any good CAT coaching institute. This will give you feel about the actual CAT examination and prepare your stamina for the same.

In case you do not want to go for the above option, get all the CAT question papers of previous years and solve them diligently. Solve the papers in a manner of the order specified and with time in one go. After each paper is solved, try solving the questions which you could not complete or were difficult to you. Analyse the solutions in detail and improve upon your weaknesses.
