Yes , AP ECET  is a three-hour engineering common entrance test for diploma holders and B.Sc (mathematics) graduates for admission to 2nd year engineering ug courses and B.pharmacy in Un-Aided Private Professional Colleges.

So technically this exam is conducted for lateral entry only Rahul.
