Now since you have a percentile of 42 and you belong to ST category your chances to qualify jee mains are very slim but not impossible. You may qualify jee mains but might not get good colleges based on your result. So you should try and improve your result in jee mains
April attempt.

According to your percentile, chances are less to get seat in colleges through JoSAA Counselling. You should prepare well and appear for the JEE Main April exam, aim to score better in that attempt to get seat in any good college and your preferred engineering branch.
