Hey!

There is no direct way of entry in Raw and it has been kept in the way purposely, also it directly comes under prime minister.

There are mainly 2 modes of entry

1. UPSC- people who get low ranks in examination got called by department for interview and if selected they directly start from Assistant commissioner or Deputy commissioner ( Higher rank)
2. SSC level examination - People who give exam to get inducted in CBI or IB get called by department for interview. Once selected person will start from AFO or DFO ( Assistant field officer & Deputy field officer).

And, most of the people who do ground work (those who act as normal person, but are raw agent) are from PCM branch (engineering).
