To join R & D in biottechnology or in pharceuticals industry, it is mandatory to have M.Tech and PhD degree.

So, I would suggest you to pursue B.Tech in Biotechnology rather than BSc in Biotechnology as an undergraduation program. Also, if you join Bsc in biotechnology then you need to complete the MSc degree as well as the candidates having BSc degree are not allowed to pursue M.tech direclty unless they have completed the MSc degree as well.
