Hi . 4.5 years of experience in production power train at HMSI. Thinking of moving into operation management . Any suggestions ??

Yes prepare well for Cat and other management exams. Go for PGP-Ex one year program from IIMs and choose your major as Operations. You can even do it from ISB or other good Bschools. You can even go for Six-Sigma Courses from KPMG or other good firms like GE Whirlpool etc and work for projects related to them and get a Black Belt.
You can do a lot of things, a lot of options are open for you. But the best way to go for is through management exams like Cat and getting into IIMs which will increase your future pay exponentially.
