Hey Chandana,

To become a research scientist in ISRO, you can start after 10th itself.

  • Choose science stream in 11th with PCM as your subjects.
  • Then, go for BTech/B.E. ISRO Recruits engineers from disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, electronics and computer science.
  • You can also, do B.sc in physics, mathematics or astronomy and then go for masters degree.
Doing PhD in physics or mathematics would be an added advantage for you.

You can do following courses after 12th to get into ISRO:
  • B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering
  • B.Tech in Avionics Engineering
  • B.Tech+M.S./M.Tech (B.Tech. in Engineering
  • Physics + M.S. in Solid State Physics, Astronomy, Earth System Science/ M.Tech. in Optical Engineering)
  • M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Science
  • PhD in relevant disciplines.
  • B.Sc in physics or mathematics.

All the very best!
Hope this helps!
