Hi,
I would suggest you to attend the counselling next month with all your mind and full concentration. If you feel like opting engineering with all your heart and really interested to do it then GO FOR IT.
But if you are having any second thoughts about it then don't.

As you are saying, you want to for the environment, you can for agricultural courses.

  • Bsc in agriculture is a 4 year undergraduate course and has a lot of scope.
  • Bsc in environmental science is also an option you can go for it has a lot of job opportunities ahead.
