Well definetly, you need base of 10'th chapters,specially properties of material which you learn't about lens and mirrors and as well refractive index.if you will in depth of these half optics has been and for half optics will be new that you haven't know much about that like fringes etc. so,basic knowledge will help you a lot i am one of those i enjoyed lot!wish you all the best
