In the first year you’ll study foundational aspects: history of Hindi literature from Adi and Madhya periods modern poetry and prose, critical reasoning and communication skills, translation practice, and  literature from other Indian languages in translation  . The second year focuses on core literacy and grammar: applied grammar, drama and theatre in Hindi, comparative literature, aling  with studies of culture, civilization, environmental texts , and informatics in Hindi  . In the third year, you’ll explore advanced topics  like linguistics, modern poetry, novels and short stories, ancient and medieval poetics, western literary thoughts, and complete a literary translation project, often with  electives in journalism or radio broadcasting  . Some universities also include specialized paper like Hindi cinema and literature, praxis of literary criticism, and social consciousness in literature in the later semester
