HKBK College of Engineering is situated in Bengalore. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1997. The program is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi till 2022.

The Department has 28 qualified and experienced faculty members with expertise in VLSI and embedded systems, digital communication, signal processing, computer networks, nanoelectronics. T he department also has MOUS with Edgate, Technilab Instruments, Jetking, Technilab Instruments Pvt Ltd., Teamtronics, SunsoftronicsPvt Ltd. Various event s are organized such as regular industrial visits, extended lectures, skill development programs, value addition courses, field visits and internship for enchaning student's skills. To monitor the students’ progress a mentor is assigned to a batch of 15 to 20 students. The mentor tracks the progress and interacts with the students and their parents to boost the academic performance and at the same time ensure the students’ wellbeing.

And, R emedial classes are conducted to help slow learners in analytical courses. Learning material, Model question banks and online learning resources are loaded on the Google Class Room. Also, huge opportunities are provided to students to participate in co curricular, extracurricular, cultural and sports events. The placement drive is excellent, the recruited companies are- Amazon, Google, Intel, Samsung, IBM, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys etc.

On the other hand, Presidency University was one of the first institutes of Western-type higher education in Asia. This was then taken over the British Government in as the College of the Bengal Presidency, and placed under the newly founded Calcutta University. Various companies recruit students under placement drive. The recruiting Companies which hired students from the University are- Airtel, Amazon, BAJAJ Allianz, Berger Paints, Deloitte, Federal Bank etc. The average package offered in the university is 6-7LPA.
