First of all let's understand the meaning of homogenous. Generally Homogeneous means uniform,i.e, same composition everywhere.
Now, catalysisis a process that changes the rate of a chemical reaction. And it can be slow or fast depending upon the type of catalyst used.

So, homogeneous catalysis refers to reactions where the catalyst is in the same phase as the reactants, in solution. Generally homogenous catalysis tells is the process where the catalysts and substrate are in non uniform or different phases.
