Hi there.
It varies from people to people. Some people have family crisis and do not get a normal surrounding for studies. But if you cannot afford a hostel then you can try studying at mid night . When there is a lot of silence.
As even hostel have ill effects , as the vicinity matter a lot . So you must mostly stay at home as once you got into hostel , distraction and bad vicinity will follow.

Obviously no doubt without giving it a second thought you just need to get a hostel life. Be environment or anything a hostel provides you everything you need to Keep your focus on and track recorded. Its way best to prepare and get what you wnat to achieve. Good luck!
