It depends upon college and the hostel you applied for. But for most of the colleges first year student is with minimum one room partner. There are minimum 3 to 4 students per room. Sometimes it's more also for some hostels.

If you want to have a room by yourself you can talk to rector if it's possible or can live separately other than hostels.
