Well 10th class marks are important, I must say it is not very important but as the phase of building career, marks of 10th is as important as others.

These are the phases where your 10th class marks comes into play.

1- For UG admission- Well many of the admission is done by their respective entrance exam, however admission is based on ranking so when two or more students secured same marks and as ranking cannot be same, so ranking is determined on the basis of 10th and 12th marks.

2- For Jobs- Many of the MNC's criteria to hire is on the basis of interview but they also make sure that the Individual had score certain minimum marks in 10th and 12th.

3- Applying Government Post- for any sort of government post students have to fill their 10th, 12th and any graduation marks to get shortlisted.

So, these are some example where 10th marks comes into play.
