1.particles in a gas are well separated with no regular arrangement.

It vibrate and move freely at high speeds.

2.liguid are close together with no regular arrangement.

It vibrates, move about, and slide past each other.

3.solids are tightly packed, usually in a regular pattern.

They vibrate  but generally do not move from place to place.
