Placements at pes south campus are quite good to decent a lot of companies visit the campus for both the branches with decent no of students getting placed and average package ranging between 4-12lacks, highest can go upto 20lacs and above as highest package's are generally subjective depends largely on some specific students with regard to any college

• for cse companies like microsoft, amazon, ola, adobe , deloitte, capegemini , infosys etc etc vsit the campus offering 8 lacs and above on an average
• for ece again companies remain same as above largly as wiproturbo,microchip, epilson , accenture,robert bosch etc etc(cse grads sit for these companies too) many companies visit pes quite good placement records, they get to sit for above companies too,packages are offered above 4 lacs on an average

I'll suggest you to go for PESU because it's better than PESIT south campus.. Both in teaching and placement wise. ECE and CSE are very different branches, go by your interests. 

As far as placements are concerned it is common in both the campuses. ECE is also a very good branch nowadays but if you are getting CSE go for it.
