How to become a commercial pilot after 12th: Eligibility Criteria


Age:18 years old and above.

Education: 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Medical Fitness: You need to clear a Class 1 medical examination that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation or DGCA conducts.

2. Pilot Training Academy:


Enroll in a DGCA-approved flying school: Find a good one approved by DGCA that offers CPL programmes

Ground School Training: Theoretical knowledge would include books on subjects such as aerodynamics, meteorology, navigation, and the whole of requirements laid down in aviation regulations.

Flying Training: Practical flight training practice through which a person will be familiarized with type after types of aircraft and hours of flying required.

3. Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL):


After completing flying hours and clearing DGCA exams, you will be qualified for CPL.

4. Get Experience:


Airline Cadet Pilot Program: Airline companies often offer cadet pilot programs. You can apply for the same and gain experience and training under their supervision.

Regional Airlines: Try to begin with regional airlines and gather experience plus flying hours.

5. Advancement in Career:


Type Ratings: Get type ratings on an aircraft model type for a better career advancement.

Instructor Rating: Use this to serve as a flight instructor to other future pilots

Airline Captain: After some experience and perhaps more qualifications, then becoming an airline captain can be set in motion.

To pursue your career as a commercial pilot in an airline in academics you need to complete 12th grade with Physics and Mathematics.CPL training is the best in the country for the course which is of 8 to 10 months of duration that includes 80 hours for academic sessions on the ground and 200 hours of flying training.

you can apply for AME CET , through which you can get into the topmost CPL institutes in India.

Aviation sector is too risky prefer to do graduation & keep a backup Just in Case.
