Hello Aspirant,

With BCA degree it is very difficult in the present market.

You should first aim to get MCA.

Simultaneously, along with your MCA, you should learn the concepts of Statistics.

BCA and MCA will equip you with computer science knowledge and give you some exposure to programming.

I would like to suggest you join some good program which can give exposure to different technologies in the field of Data Science, Business Analytics and Big Data.

You can either join a 2-year master degree or 1-year post graduate program.

If you are looking for a 2-year program then you can look for different MS program offered in the US. But in this case, your investment in terms of time and money will be huge.

If you have the financial limitation then you can look for a 1-year postgraduate program which is giving good exposure to the different technologies like Machine learning, NLP, Predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, Hadoop, Apache Spark, SAS, Table, etc.

After working for 4–5 years, you will gain some domain related knowledge and also understand how different statistical models work to solve any business problem.

After that, you can think of starting the journey of a Data Scientist.

You will be involved in building multiple hypotheses for any business problem. You will develop different solutions and test them on different business KPIs to find the best fitting solution.
