The Admission process to become Veternary doctor  is, Admission to most veterinary colleges is given on the basis of results obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the concerned universities. Veterinary Council of India conducts AIPVT exam for admission to first year of Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry degree course for filling up seats of each veterinary college of all states including colleges like Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Bihar Veterinary College, Patna, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, Bombay Veterinary Science College, Mumbai, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner. This Entrance exam is usually held in the month of may of every year.
