HBTU or Harcourt Butler Technological University is an NBA and AICTE approved University located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in the year 1921. It is affiliated to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University.

The admission for the courses are given on the basis of National Level Entrance Exam JEE, CET and GATE for Engineering stream and for other courses it is on merit. The basic eligibility criteria for getting admission here is that the candidate seeking admission should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 75% for UG courses. For b.tech JEE Main is also required. For PG courses the candidates must have completed graduation.
