See , this is completely depends on your type of institution or university. Or may be school or college. As you didn't mention for which class or for which course you are asking for. Like if you want to become doctor then you have to give entrance exam NEET for doing MBBS. If you want to get admission in government institutions then there is entrance exam. Some private institutions take admission on the basis of percentage of class 12th.
