The entries for Men and Women into the Indian Navy are different.

Please note that there is no direct entry scheme to join Indian Navy as a Captain directly. You need to start off as a Sub-Lieutenant and gain around 15 Yrs of experience to be a Captain. To be one, there are several entries for women also. But you need to complete your SSC tenure and then based on merit and vacancy, you will be given PC.
