Hi there.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) established the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) in 2007 to offer substantially subsidised technical education to female students, physically challenged students, and students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. To better meet the requirements of students with varied interests, the regulation was to be implemented to engineering and hospitality courses.

Only candidates who earn less than Rs. 6 lakh per year as a household from all sources are eligible to apply through the TFWS programme.

The only fee that is exempt from payment is the tuition. The recipient student is responsible for paying all fees other than tuition.

All candidates who fall under the OBC, SC, ST, or G category are eligible for the programme.
