Hi,

To create interest in reading first of all try to know your interest(may be most of the people like to read Bollywood news, finance, politics anything that gives you a interest) start reading small articles that will help you , when you are done with articles try to read editorial this will help you alot.

Now you are done with these two things ,now pick a simple story book of any genre make sure that book will be thin and target the time (,in how many days you have to finish this book) and now start reading ,try read 1 page regularly when you are getting the interest definitely your interest will generate.

After this process you can read any book like course one or the supplementary one.

Starting out on any journey is the most difficult part. So start by reading some good quality Literary Fictional novels that have been written in modern English, easy to understand and maintains a fast pace.

Then try and follow these recommendations:

Try reading a few pages every single day.

Try reading novels of different genres. You will figure out what you like reading, and what does not suit your palate.

Try getting a specific time of day wherein you could read quietly. A rush-hour traffic in a London tube could work for some; for me it does not. I need a quiet place to read fast.

Try not getting bogged down into details till you become a mature reader.

And most importantly— do it for the right reasons. If you do not like it yourself; it is a pointless act.
