There are several methods used in the preparation of Aluminium Sulfate, but the most widely used one is the reaction of Aluminium hydroxide with Sulfuric acid.

The reaction is represented as:

2Al(OH)₃+ 3H₂SO_{4 -}àAl₂(SO₄) + 6H₂O
