It depends on your college but basic rules are the same
Work hard right from the day one
Never skip any assignments or class tests
Give up all your enjoyments

Good evening.
It's very difficult to get 9.5 cgpa in btech first year because in btech first year every branch is taught so , you can't make intrest in every subject those subjects make your score low .

Not that difficult if you study regularly and do your assignments and lab on your own. But again depends on what college you are in.
