Hello Vipin, 

The result for written test has been declared on 6th March 2019 for B.FTech., M.FTech. and M.F.M. On the basis of written test, shortlisted candidates will be called for situation test/GD/PI round. You can also download their call letter for second stages from the website in this month later. 

NIFT 2019 Call Letter for Group Discussion or Personal Interview rounds (PG courses) will be released later this month. You can check it through online mode on the official website. The authority publish it in two stages,  i.e. for Written test & GD/PI rounds.

After the second test, the final result will be announced by the authority in the month of May 2019. You should take a printout copy of both results & save it for the counselling procedure. You will be able to check cut-off through online mode.

After completion of both stages, the authority will prepare a final merit list. NIFT 2019 Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), Situation Test, Group Discussion & Personal Interview rounds (as applicable).

I am listing the weightage assigned to each test in the final merit list of the examination below :

• Master of Fashion Management - GAT=70% and GD/PI =30%.
• Bachelor of Design (B.Des) -  CAT = 50%, GAT = 30%  and Situation Test = 20%
• Master of Fashion Technology (M.F Tech) -  GAT = 70% and GD/PI = 30%.

Note : In case, two candidate’s score equal marks, then older candidate (as per date of birth) will be given preference in the merit list.

• Scheduled Caste (SC) 15%
• Scheduled Tribe (ST) 7.5%
• OBC (Non-Creamy) 27%
• Differently Abled Person (PHP) 3%
• Foreign Nationals/SAARC/NRI 20%
• State Domicile 20%
