Hey,
Once the results are declared the dates of counselling are released every year, through which a student gets a college.

As the JoSAA counselling begins, firstly the candidates have to register themselves on the official website.
After this, candidates will have to go for the choice filling process where they will have to fill in their choice of colleges and courses according to their preference.
After this two mock seat allocations will be conducted in order to help candidates know their chances of getting a seat into the participating institutes.
Seven rounds of seat allotment are conducted. The seat alloted basis of ranks (both CRL and category), home state, preferences and availability.
Once the seat is allotted to the candidates they can download the provisional allotment letter and an e-challan as an assurance of seat acceptance via online mode.
