Hello student,

The after process for admission into neet is;

The types of admission are  ;

1)ALL INDIA QUOTA

The NEET AIQ scheme comprises 15% of MBBS/BDS seats from all the government dental and medical colleges across India except for Jammu and Kashmir state. For this, all the candidates qualifying the NEET 2020 exam can apply. Candidates of the J&K state cannot apply except for those who have submitted a self-declaration form during the filling up of the NEET application form. Accordingly, candidates belonging to a particular state can still seek admissions in government institutes of different states, including their own state under AIQ

In order to apply under AIQ counselling, one must provide details for the same in the application form as and when issued by the DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) representing Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The tentative time frame for AIQ counselling for NEET 2020 is scheduled to take place soon.

2) SEATS IN CENTRAL AND DEEMED UNIVERSITIES

Here all the seats are permitted for candidates qualifying the NEET 2020 exams. The different universities covered under central universities are

  • Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
  • Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
  • Colleges affiliated to Delhi University(DU)
  • Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI)

DGHS is the counselling authority for Central and Deemed Universities. The counselling for Deemed & Central Universities usually commences from the 2nd week of June  (tentative). For application, one must fill an application form for Deemed and Central Universities counselling as and when issued by the DGHS.

3) STATE GOVT. COLLEGES

After handing over 15% of seats in AIQ, the remaining 85% seats remain with the government institutes for dental and medical courses coming under the state quota seats. These seats can be typically occupied by those candidates belonging to the respective states. In simpler words, to obtain admission under the state quota seats in Karnataka, candidates belonging to the state Karnataka only are eligible to apply.

Candidates must fill in the form as it is issued by their corresponding state counselling officials in order to apply for state quota seats in their corresponding state government colleges. Some states may commence the process of application before NEET alongside releasing the NEET 2020 state quota counseling applications once the results are declared. The links for the same will be updated here as and when it is released.

There are also other ways like private colleges and the special category seats from which students can get into.
