Focus only on ncert and make notes from it.....remember every line of ncert is important and keep reading ncert books....do practice it.

My advice to you should have your focus on ncert..go throughly through each and every line..no requirement of notes as such..in my point of view

You can use highlighter pen to mark important headings...and if you want to make notes on separate notebook then write those highlighted headings and then write the points with is catchy to you related to that topic so that it will help you revise the topic
Note*always highlight those which is important...don't highlight whole book like oooh this is important...always highlight those topic which are disturbing you are getting hard time getting those topic in your mind..that's simple that's how you make notes in biology..XD
