Computer science Engineering was created in the year 1991 in AMU.The department offers a a 4 year BTech program with 8 semesters and a 2 year M Tech program with 4 semesters.It also offers PhD degree specialization in software engineering.

Thedepartmentis well equipped with laboratories like

• Basic computing laboratory
• Software laboratory
• Networking laboratory
• Advanced computing laboratory
• Hardware laboratory
• PG laboratory

The campus as well as all the rooms are well facilitated with good Internet connectivity.

The teaching faculty are very experienced and are educated from reputated institutes.They actively participate in research and development.some of the areas of research in the department are computer network,computer security,web mining , artificial intelligence and soft computing.

According to reviews from Students, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh is a very good college for computer science  Engineering.

faculty are on average(50% faculty are very good and 50% are normal).

and lab of the college is also very good.

John always remember if you are going to persue computer science Engineering then never thought about the college and the lab ,because in any Engineering college CSE students learn by there own.

but yes always search about Placement sector of the college.
